May 13/23 12:18 pm - Baie-Saint-Paul Canada Cup Postponed

The recent flooding in the Charlevoix region east of Quebec City has led to postponement of the Baie-Saint-Paul Mountain Bike Canada Cup/Quebec Cup, scheduled for May 26-28. The Grands Rendez-Vous des Petits (June 3rd) has also been postponed. However, at this time, organizer Velo Charlevoix says the Charlevoix Cycliste Grand Prix and the Granfondo, scheduled for June 9-11, will take place as planned.

Velo Charlevoix released the following statement:

Since one of our event sites, Camping Geneva, is inaccessible due to the circumstances of last week, several meetings have taken place in the last few days to assess the feasibility of our activities. First up, the Charlevoix Cycliste Grand Prix and the Granfondo will take place as planned the weekend of June 9 to 11. Unfortunately for the Charlevoix Cup, the Quebec/Canada Mountain Bike Cups and the Grands Rendez-Vous des Petits, we will not be able to follow the promised schedule of May 26, 27, 28 and June 3. We are trying to find solutions to postpone them to a later date until the end of the season. The organization's desire is to make sure that events happen to the extent of our capabilities. We want to avoid cancellation at all costs. Thank you for your understanding!
